About us

On the continent of South America, North of Brazil in the midst of the beautiful tropical rainforest lays a small country that, due to so many ethnic groups and cultures, is rightly considered “Caribbean”. Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, is often described as “the pearl of the Western Hemisphere” in literature, due to the beautiful white colonial buildings.

Guesthouse Albergo Alberga is located in one of these: tasteful, pleasant, rustic and typically Suriname. The premises, built during the late 19th century, and constructed entirely of wood, are listed as a World Heritage monument.
